Boubacar SANGARÉ is a screenwriter, film director and academic (in Law studies).

He is known for OR DE VIE - A GOLDEN LIFE (2023, Screenwriter, Director), UNE RÉVOLUTION AFRICAINE, les dix jours qui ont fait chuter Blaise Compaoré (2015, Co-Director).

Boubacar Sangaré is a filmmaker, author and director from Burkina Faso. He has made 4 short films and co-directed a feature-length documentary for television. OR DE VIE - A GOLDEN LIFE (2023) is his first feature-length documentary for cinema. He is currently developing several other projects, including the documentary road movie "Djéliya, Mémoire de Manding" (selected for La Fabrique des Cinémas du Monde, Cannes Festival 2022) and two feature-length fiction films : "Le nom qu'on te donne" and "Les dieux délinquants".

Boubacar SANGARÉ is the director of the fiction "Au nom de l'amour" (2012) and the documentary "Dieu veille sur les vigiles (2013). He codirected AN AFRICAN REVOLUTION, les dix jours qui ont fait chuter Blaise Compaoré, along with Gideon Vink (2015).
It sold more than 10,000 tickets in Burkina Faso and was selected in more than forty festivals around the world.

Or de vie, the first feature film he directed alone, has been awarded the'Aide aux cinémas du monde'.

Djéliya, memory of Manding follows the same cinematographic approach, with a poetic narrative that celebrates Africa and its youth.
