Marco Cherqui is a prolific music video and documentary producer who brought to music video confirmed directors such as Jacques Audiard, Laetitia Masson, Xavier Durringer, Claire Denis and Arnaud Desplechin and created a rap label with Mathieu Kassovitz.

He created Chic Films in 2002 with StudioCanal as a minority shareholder. The company, now fully independent, is committed to developing and producing original feature films and TV programs that are engaging on both aesthetic and commercial levels. With Chic Films, Marco Cherqui has built a talented roster of scriptwriters, directors and actors with whom he and his team are working on innovative cinema and TV projects.

Marco Cherqui notably produced La Bostella for StudioCanal, starring actor and comedian Edouard Baer in his debut feature. He co-produced with ADR Productions Marion Vernoux's A Boire, starring Emmanuelle Beart, Edouard Baer and Atmen Kelif, and he co-produced with Shadows Film seasons 1 and 2 of the TV series Our Dear Children for Canal Plus (with season 3 in development).

He is currently co-producing with Why Not Productions The Prophet directed by Jacques Audiard from an original screenplay by Abdel Raouf Dafri and Nicolas Peufaillit commissioned and developed by Chic Films.
