Rwandan artistes have joined their regional counterparts to mourn the death of Ugandan musician Emmanuel Mayanja Hummertone aka AK47 who passed away on Monday evening in Kampala.
Austin Tosh Luwano, known on stage as Uncle Austin, described Ak47 as a young, hardworking man, whose potential was just picking up.
"He was the youngest from the talented family and I always believed that he was the most talented. It was just a matter of time before he could outshine his big brothers because of his potential," Uncle Austin said.
Singer Knowless Butera also expressed her shock after getting news of the budding singer's death. "It is a heartbreaking story for all of us and we send our condolences to the Mayanja family for the loss of their young, talented son. We join the family in mourning this untimely death," she said
Several Rwandan singers and radio presenters have described AK47's death as shocking and untimely.
