After graduated in dramatic arts, she won many Actress awards and prizes in variant festivals along the world, as example her feature length screenplay Daisy's Heart won 2011 Best Low Budget Script at the Female Eye Film Festival.

Toronto actress-filmmaker Dorothy A. Atabong was born in Cameroon and graduated from the Neighborhood Playhouse School of Theatre in New York. SOUND OF TEARS (2014, short, 15mins) is her directorial debut.
